The history of this land is deeply tied to its volcanic nature. The different eruptions throughout history have wiped out whole towns, but they have also created incredibly fertile soil. During your ,Vesuvius Hike you will see how vast cultivated areas produce excellent wines, most notably the world-famous Lacryma Christi. Our journey begins with a comfortable transfer by minibus from the Sorrento coast toward the slopes of the mountain, where we will make our first stop at a traditional vineyard for an easy lunch and a tasting of these local volcanic excellences.
The visit will then continue to the heart of the adventure: Mount Vesuvius. Our minibus will take you up to an altitude of 1,000 meters. From this point, you will walk the path up to the top to admire the breathtaking view of the Bay of Naples. includes a professional 2-hour tour with an authorized alpine guide, who will provide fascinating information about the history of the crater and its eruptions once you reach the rim. –The Great Vesuvius Hike-
